Email Letter - 24 October 2013

Hey everyone,

Hello everyone! I’m still doing great here in the MTC, or as its called here the CCM.

We didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary here this week. Basically just learning Spanish and practicing teaching lessons in Spanish. Sometimes it's pretty hard cause I know exactly what to say but I can’t think of how to say it in Spanish. The most frustrating thing though is when I cant think of what I want to say to someone in Spanish so I try saying it in English and I cant think of how to say it in English ether. Ha-ha.

Anyway me and the other Elders and Sisters that arrived at the same time as me went to the store on Tuesday, it was as the natives would put it "just like Wal-Mart." but what I’m really excited for is going to the university tomorrow to do some contacting. It’ll be a good test of what Spanish we've learned here and it’ll give us a better idea of the kind of Spanish we're going to be hearing once we get out of the CCM.

Well that’s all I have for this week, I hope you’re all doing well.

  1. Hey Elder King, Glad you are doing well. You will pick the language up in no time! Trust in the Lord and he will bless you. If you have a few moments of free time look up my nephew who just went into the MTC who is going to the Bogota, Colombia North mission. Elder Justin Porter. Tell him I love him and give him a big hug for me!

Thank you for answering the call to serve. It is a sacrafice to be away from family and friends but there is no greater joy than serving the Lord. Love you brother, - Jeff Porter
