Hey everybody,
I’m going great here in the DR. This is probably one of my most favorite places on earth! I love it here! We are making great progress with our investigators. The people here are so nice it's unreal.
Elder Grover and I are getting along great and our goal is to have me ready to train by the end of the next 2 transfers. It won’t be easy but it’s possible.
Well anyways I don’t have a lot of time this week but I'll be sure to write more next week. I love you all.

Email Letter - 27 November 2013
I’m loving life here in San Francisco. Its so beautiful here and its not too humid here ether. But there are hills for days, I’m pretty sure they are going to be the death of me. Things are going great with elder Grover, he is a great guy and an amazing mission dad, he helps me a lot. We have a few investigators right now and they’re all progressing fairly well and we have big dreams for the branch we`re in and things are looking good. The plan is to get sacrament meeting attendance up to 75 people by the end of the month which is almost double what it is right now. The branch president is a great man. He has a very powerful testimony and is a great leader, with his help and the help of the members great thinks could happen to this branch in the next 3 month I’m here, but hopefully ill be in this are longer then that. Thank all of you for the support. I love you all.

Email and Picture - 20 November 2013
Well it’s my second day out of the MTC and my first day in my new area and new companion. I’m doing great in my new area, I’m in the city of San Francisco and it is beautiful. The apartment in living in is really nice and I love my new comp. His name is elder Grover, he is from cedar city. He was the AP for a long time in I was told by several people, including President and his wife that he is the best missionary in the whole mission. Hermana Douglas also told me that if president put me with him that he must have really high hopes for me. At the end of my training I’m going to kill him, missionary talk for he’s going home when he’s done being my companion.
The branch I’m assigned to has about 35 attending church, a number that has doubled since elder Grover has been here, and we will be working with these two families for the first little bit. One of which has a baptism date for December 14. Super exciting! That’s really all that’s new for this week so I'll write you all next week with more. Love you all.

Email Letter - 14 November 2013
Hey everybody!
The last week has been absolutely amazing! Last Friday I was able to go on a companion exchange with a companionship from the Santo Domingo east mission. The companion I got stuck with just so happened to be one of my good friends and old football buddy Elder Christian Cardozo. Needless to say I was pretty flipping excited to be with someone I knew and was already friends with. Most of the time we were together we were just contacting form door to door but we were able to teach 3 lessons and add a couple of families to the prospective investigator list. We had such a great time and at the end of the day we went and taught an English class to tome of the members at the local church building.it was so much fun being able to help them learn a language that will probably help them find and get a better job. When we were on our way back we saw a man pushing his car down the street, we were already pretty late but both of us felt strongly that we need to help I’m get his car to the gas station so we helped and it was great and the man was so confused as to why we were helping him and we just told him that that’s what missionaries do. He was pretty happy and impressed at us and he accepted to have the missionaries over and hear the lessons.
That was really the highlight of my week until Tuesday where we had an amazing devotional from Elder J. Devin Cornish, he is the second counselor in the area seventy. His talk was incredible it was about missionary work of course but one thing he said and then continued to say throughout his talk was, "its good to do good, but its priceless to save souls." I don’t know what it was when he said that but it hit me so hard. I’m so grateful to be serving a mission right now; I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to save the souls of my brothers and sisters here in the Dominican Republic.
It’s my last week here in the MTC and I’m super excited to leave and get out into the field. My p-day is most likely going to change so I’m not sure what day ill be writhing next week but you’ll know once you get next weeks letter. I love you all and love hearing from you and how you’re doing.

Email Letter & Pics - 31 October 2013
Hey everyone!
Happy Halloween everyone, I hope you’re all having an amazing day. Halloween in the MTC is just like every other day, bummer! I want some candy.
Anyways, this last week was a lot of fun. We went to the University last Friday, which was a great experience. My companion and I had a great time we taught about 10 people that were all super nice. They were also all pretty receptive to what we were saying, everyone except this one lady that was super old, she listened to us and was pretty quiet the whole time but once we finished she started talking super fast and we couldn’t understand anything she was saying. Then she stopped and said thank you but that she wasn’t interested and walked away. We were just super caught off guard cause usually when people see us they know we're American and will talk a little slower so we know that they’re saying. But then right after that bad experience we had the most amazing experience cause a man had overheard what we had been saying to this lady and felt like he needed to talk to us and really wanted to know more about what we were saying. So we started talking to him and he was crazy interested. We told him about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and he asked us if he could have one to read. So being the good missionaries that we are we pulled one out of our bag and gave it to him. He said that he would read it and call the mission home for the Santo Domingo East mission to get the missionaries to come to his house and continue teaching him. We were so happy that were able to meet that man.
Other than that the week was pretty normal, things don’t change a lot in the MTC but I’m really learning a lot with the help of the Lord. The University helped me to know what I need to work on more as far as Spanish goes and I think that when we go again tomorrow we'll do even better than last week. I can’t wait.

Hey everyone,
Hello everyone! I’m still doing great here in the MTC, or as its called here the CCM.
We didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary here this week. Basically just learning Spanish and practicing teaching lessons in Spanish. Sometimes it's pretty hard cause I know exactly what to say but I can’t think of how to say it in Spanish. The most frustrating thing though is when I cant think of what I want to say to someone in Spanish so I try saying it in English and I cant think of how to say it in English ether. Ha-ha.
Anyway me and the other Elders and Sisters that arrived at the same time as me went to the store on Tuesday, it was as the natives would put it "just like Wal-Mart." but what I’m really excited for is going to the university tomorrow to do some contacting. It’ll be a good test of what Spanish we've learned here and it’ll give us a better idea of the kind of Spanish we're going to be hearing once we get out of the CCM.
Well that’s all I have for this week, I hope you’re all doing well.

Hey everyone!
I’m doing great here in the DR. the language is pretty hard but I’m learning more and more everyday. My companion is Elder Santacruz and he is fantastic. He’s from Arizona. My district in the MTC is amazing they’re all so spiritual and have a great understanding of the gospel. The Friday after I got here President Freestone, the MTC President, made me the district leader. Not really sure what he was thinking but oh well I’m just going to do my best to be a good example. My district consists of 4 elders, including me, and 4 sisters. Mine is the only district with sister missionaries, which I think is actually helping a lot.
I don’t really have a ton to say but I hope you’re all doing fantastically. I love and am praying for you all. May God be with you all.
